    This story could not be complete without the story of the Jardine family. If ever you get the chance to read the book, too many spears , I think it is, by Ion Idress , take it up. A fascinating story of North Qld, Cannibals, murder, mayhem, better than any Hollywood movie. and true. EDIT If you go up the coast to Somerset, you will see the house Frank and Sana lived in. I think their graves are still there. I have always thought it is far better to follow the history of a place, than to give in to the juvenile down gunshot creek, give it the berries, crap.. . None of the 4x4 heroes today could live in the shadow of these pioneers.
