West Aus. mining town fighting for survival

I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

Hardly... small mine towns like that have a shelf life.
Iron Knob is another victim, and about the same distance from Whyalla.

No FIFO there - I drive out every day.

I think the ladies are talking about the social structure of the town. Relatives of ours living in the coal district in Qld say the same thing. First comes FIFO, then prostitution, then drugs.

"If you want to get me on a rant, talk to me about fly-in, fly-out, that's killed the town."It used to be a nice town to live in but now it's not that good."
