We all know the mission failed, but most of us don't know the complexity of the mission, or how they put it together, and how they trained for it. A seriously complex and difficult mission, the first of its kind for the US military. This is a monologue, boring for some , but informative. To me a mission impossible, but with a bit of luck, they may have pulled it off.

What is not made clear is that the Air Force was going to fly the helicopters, with pilots that were not only trained in night vision goggle use, but trained in aerial refuelling of the copters. The US Marines demanded a role, it was inter-service jealousy, none of the Marine pilots were trained in aerial refuelling, so they had to land in the desert and refuel. The rest is history. At least that is what I've been told, by a reliable source.

You may be being naïve, life is never black and white. Politics trumps common sense and decency in most cases like this. Israel are having elections. From what I can gather, many Arabs are voting in large numbers in the Israeli elections. Normally they are not motivated to do this, and latest results are Netanyahu has been humiliated, Benny Gantz has claimed victory. What does this have to do with the crazy woman? Netanyahu was close to forming a far right cabinet, Gantz is from the left. Netanyahu was desperate, he needed every Jewish vote. The Woman's family were right into the political **** fight, and if Netanyahu had won outright, she would never have been sent back to Aus. . Now there may be a chance, except Gantz may have to gain support from other parties to gain the first mandate from the President to form Government. I wouldn't expect anything to happen too soon about the molestation case. But there is a better chance now.
We should look closer to home, why was this ultra orthodox Jewish group allowed to create an environment to allow this to happen? Can't say too much. But that is a question that must be answered. If these people had been Muslim, can you imagine the outcry? Anyway the election. This could shake things up in the Middle East, perhaps for the better.
EDIT thought for the day.We benefit when we move beyond hero/villian dichotomy and accept the complex pantheon of human behavior and motivation.
