How one farmingl family is coping in the drought, NSW.

I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

Interesting read, and goo on 'em for keeping at it.
Something that had me thinking tho was the part where the husband goes to Sydney at 1am to collect waste food for feed.

I used to work for Wollies delivering to stores, and used to see an absolute ton of scrap food getting dumped at every store.
Each store had it's own method of waste disposal, some had local farmers coming to collect the scraps out of household bins at the stores, others had dumpsters specifically for food collected by a specific food waste truck, others just went into general waste.

Not sure how the local markets(Preston for me) handles their food scrap waste, but never seen a recycling system for it all. Could well be, but not obvious .. most vendors just seem to have a single dumpster for it all.

My dad used to have a hundred chooks on his property, and to keep them all fed used to travel 50 klms to and from a Bakers Delight once a week to collect one of the nightly dumps of bread. Others used to have other nights.

Makes one think of the waste there is in modern society.
    Arthur.

All these discos are giving me a heart attack!
