    The Queen inspects the guard, Balmoral, 2018. Forgive me this indulgance, but I remember when the Naval Apprentices from HMAS Nirimba formed a Royal Guard, 100 strong, at Bathurst for the Queen, in the 60's. With that wonderful 303 rifle drill, It was said to be the best Naval guard for many a year. There seems to be something, when a Queens Guard is on Parade, that lifts the guard to a new level. Say what you like about the old girl, she demands respect. Check this Scots Royal Guard out, to see what I mean. Not as good as us, of course.

    Their Officer did. Bloody typical! On closer look, it almost seems as though the left rank pushed their right hand rank into the poo, so to speak. [ It's something we would have done]
