Brilliant!. Good on so many levels.
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

I wanted to bite my tongue, but …. Please reconsider your post. It doesn't matter if its 2 minutes or 2 decades. If a member feels aggrieved enough to put his feelings up on a post, they should be respected. You're smart enough to understand that.

Seriously Bob, "Real" Men don't whine and moan to everyone when they feel "Aggrieved", They either deal with it or simply take the high road and ignore it.
Due to the proliferation of Political Correctness over the last couple of decades we seem to be producing more and more "Sooky La La's" that snivel, whine and moan to all and everyone every time someone disagrees with them or calls them out, This is Definitely Not what REAL Men do.

I've largely stayed out of this thread to date, but as an "Old Pom", & a Monarchist, I've been very disappointed by these "proceedings".
Prior to his meeting with this "woman", I've been very impressed with Harry, seemed to be a pretty normal "knockabout" sort of bloke, enjoyed a drink, a smoke, whatever,....He was up for it,.....and the Public loved him, everywhere He went, He was mobbed,...just so good with ordinary folk, the "People's Prince" sort of thing. Really good for the Royals I thought. William's pretty good too, but more in line of what a "Royal"/Prince "should be" etc, seems like a decent man, but Harry was the one the Public loved....He was up for anything.
And then this woman comes along, & everything started to change, she wasn't happy with this, that's not right, I don't want to do that, & there were too many rumors of her nasty, "uppity" behavior to officials etc, for them not to be true. All the "trappings" of Royalty,..she loved it, the best housing, unlimited spending, flights/trips anywhere all paid for,..yeah she loved all that....And Harry made her famous, without him she would've been nothing.
But anyway, Harry fell in love with her, He loves her & that is the main thing, but, and some on here will have a go, so go for it, I don't like her, never have, always saw Her as a "gold digger", "I'm better than thou" sort of person,...and as soon as she got her claws into Harry, and that's when He started to change.
Anyway, the exit seems to be going quite cleanly, it's unclear at this stage what the "public purse" will continue to provide, but it appears that it will be greatly reduced. Harry's given up a lot for his Lady, & so I hope they have a long & happy life together.
And of course, through it all, our wonderful Queen has been most dignified.
Just my thoughts, & all, only IMHO, of course, Pickles.

Harry is not the first young man to give it all away for a pretty lady.

I wonder if there will be any deep seeded resentment over this in years to come?

I believe if you change for someone else you will likely end up resenting those who made you change as change should come from within.

Good post P2. Couldn't have said it any better myself.

Mark my words, & I may not be around to witness it but it will all end in tears. Certainly his.

When Trump goes, as quick as a flash she will be back amongst the Californian "trendies", she has stated this. No wonder the Canadians are feeling **** upon, using their country as a half way house indeed.

As Philip, Duke of Edinburgh said, "One takes an Actress out for Dinner, one doesn't marry them"

BTW, not an old Pom, a 100% Aussie & simply a Loyalist.

What make you believe you have the right to have an opinion on who someone chooses as a partner?

As you have said, it is an OPINION, not a regulation.

We all have rights to our opinions.
