Operation COMPASS | The Oasis Townsville
You don't have to be in the military , any one can check 5, keep an eye on your mates, especially now.
Operation COMPASS is the codename for one of the 12 national suicide prevention trials that deals specifically with trialling measures that could reduce the rate of suicide in the ex-ADF community. It has been run from Townsville, North Queensland since June 2017.
In 2020, Operation COMPASS commenced the evaluation and report writing phase while transferring as many of the 22 active initiatives to organisations and institutions that would continue them, given their success. Those that remained on 1 July 2020 were transferred to The Oasis Townsville. Some will be transferred when appropriate, others will endure at The Oasis Townsville.
Several of the initiatives were taken on by The Oasis Townsville from the Enduring Connections Campaign (one of 6 within which the initiatives sat). In order to thoroughly test the veracity of the importance of connections to reducing mental health problems and improving the wellbeing of veterans and their families, leading ultimately to a reduction in suicide, these initiatives, which are the core of the existence of The Oasis Townsville, have been contracted by NQPHN for three years.

I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food
A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking
