I ended up getting the tool from Trade Tools. Definetely not cheap but hopefully it lasts forever.

It is Japanese made apparently, brand is Lobster and comes in a metal case with four different size dies etc.

    No special tool needed.

The rivnut tools seem to vary depending on what size rivnuts are needed.
    For example you can get
    M3 - M8
    M6 - M12

What would be the most useful for us ?
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

By all means get a Defender. If you get a good one, you'll be happy. If you get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher.

I recently bought one from this company.

    I needed it for work.

Seems to work well, and they also sell the rivnuts, etc.

    I needed to do 12mm,mine does 12 to 6mm.
