I picked up one of those Supercheap kits today - so can answer my own question
The quality of the kit is as you'd expect for 7 pieces for $30. Each adapter is quite heavy/chunky and they're definitely not high quality or beautifully finished.
I only tried the pointed adapter. It locked onto the grease gun solidly and didn't pop off while greasing. I did get a bit of grease coming out the side of the adapter where it attaches to the gun, but not unreasonable given the high pressure I had to use to get grease into the mongrel Bursons balljoints that we fitted recently.
While I was messing around, I also confirmed that the thread on the pointed fitting itself is the same as my grease gun (Toledo brand) so the fitting can be attached directly onto the gun if you wanted instead of using the coupler.
Overall, its done the job I bought it for so all is well.
