    allen 'HEX' keys

    what's a tough brand.........

the nature of the plant the boys work on hex keys don't last too long........chasing a more durable brand

standard hex keys, not T handle

oh and need to purchase with Aus......work frowns upon ebay/internet purchases.

Allen of course. Still in business and making and selling top quality tools. Unbrako are pretty good.

Allen, Unbrako and Bondhus have always worked for me. I have some Snap On ones which I think are just Bondhus rebranded.

I bought Unbrako sets in both metric and Imperial some 40 years ago and am still using them - home use of course.

The plastic folders they are in are looking decidely worse for wear - well, actually they've become brittle with age.

I've yet to break a "Repco" brand hex key - bought with a Repco tool kit about 15 years ago to rebuild my Harley engine. Had some impressive bends on them, and rounded out a few hex screw heads, but no rounding off of the hex keys. Home use also, I must add - but they have seen some tough stuff.

Lifetime warranty on the Repco stuff. Of the whole toolkit, including sockets and spanners, the only thing that has ever given way was screwdrivers (spinning in the handle). Back to any Repco shop, no receipt needed, replaced over the counter.

My Bondhus set is strong, but they weren't straight even when new.

+1 on the bondhus. I got mine after watching the old man use his as a daily tool for years, had mine for over 18 years, and only worn the writing off the plastic holder. Bent plenty of others, but these have held up pretty bloody well.

Yea, Unbrako, Allen or Bondhus. I have a set of Imperial Eastman that I have had since I was an apprentice, some are twisted but they are all still in one piece...........33 years old that set
