I just bouhgt a 1/2 torque wrench on ebay that isn't

The torque wrench arrived today. goes from 5ftlbs to 80 ftlbs. Woo Hoo now I can change the centrifugal filter and not snap the bolts when tightening up.
Except that the so called 1/2 is actually a 3/8 drive. I am not happy at all. I have a 1/2 socket set. Which is why I bought a 1/2 torque wrench.
I is just grumbling and venting until ebay goes through its process and I get a refund.
I still need a frigging torque wrench but.

Buy some 3/8 drive sockets. I use that size way more than 1/2 drive (fulltime self employed mechanic).

I might have to. All the same I have a perfectly good set of Russian 1/2 socket that my dad bought for me in 1980 from some place in Pooraka. Very nice field serviceable wrench, easy to take apart and repair, much like AK47. Has to be simple for Ivan.
I'll see what the vendor comes up with.

    Regards

if it only goes down to 5nm dont use it for the bolts on the roto filter on the td5.

you wont get a 1/2 inch drive torque wrench that will go that low
you'll be lucky to get it in 3/8th drive
you need to get it in 1/4 inch drive.

I second the advice to goto a 3/8th drive set.
