Thread: Advice on tool storage chests sought.

Ive got a kinchrome toolchest that i have taken to work. the draws no longer stay closed properly but ive had it for many years. A guy i work with has the one in your link, he is happy with its and its good value. Its entry level quality. Great for home handyman. If you're looking for something more serious i would take a look at another brand. I have a 1-11 toolchest at home and its made from much better components but it was probably double the price.

Kinchrome gear in general is very good.A fair percentage of my tools are Kinchrome,its my preferred brand.
However,as others suggest if you intend carting the tool chest around,get something designed to do so.

Don't know about that particular one, but some similar have a sticker on the back stating 'no warranty for use in vehicles'. Something to be aware of if you intend to use it in/on your ute/van. Check first.

If it's just for a home workshop, the supatool would be fine, had one for years still going strong. They probably come out of the same factory.

I simply cannot imagine how shipping a decent sized toolbox from Australia to Ireland could be remotely economical, surely the shipping costs would be more than the box itself...

Unless they are for sale locally there, which would surprise the hell out of me!

Maybe not same factory but same company. I've got a supatool socket set that's done at least 10 years service, including undoing some badly seized bolts with a rattle gun and still going strong.
