						Hello All,
Could anyone recommend a brand and model of diesel engine compression tester? A compression kit that has adapters to suit a Land Rover Series III 1976 manufactured 2.25 lire diesel engine?
There seems to be a different variety of kits available however very few seem to list what vehicles their adaptors actually fit. I do not want to find out by trial and error.
Oh and the same kit possibly having the right sized fitting for a Nissan Patrol MQ SD33 with a 12 volt system diesel engine too. That's another storyIt was in a Series III; a deceased estate belonged to a mechanic; it was local; it was at a reasonable price and it was the second Land Rover I had ever bought ... I was younger ... I was stu....
Kind Regards
Lionel
which way do you want to go injector out test or glow plug out test.
if the latter pull a glow plug double check the thread size and simply look at the kit listing to make sure the kit you're looking at has got the right adaptor. I got my last set online from total tools.
you can also buy just the one gauge and the right adaptor to suit.
Just occasionally you'll get one where the thread for the glow plug has been recut to allow a different glow plug to be used.
