Was a 15 amp air compressor

    Hello All,

A workshop air compressor has come up for sale. Part of the description mentions that the air compressor - 'was 15 amp'.

Would this modification from 15 amp to apparently a 10 amp circuit cause any loss of performance and effectiveness of a system that was originally designed at higher amps?

    Kind regards
    Lionel

10 and 15 amp cable is the same code, only the plug differs.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

    Hello Ian,

It could have just involved a file on the earth blade of the three pin plug too. It also might be sold by now. I shall report back.

I do know that my purchased in the 1990s air compressor seems to be growing a tad tired now. Hence, my starting to put some tentative feelers out there to test the local market options.

    Kind regards
    Lionel
