Windscreen rubber locking strip insertion tool - with roller

I've just had to insert some perspex windows in some control cabinets at work, my fingers still hurt.
You used to be able to buy a tool that spread the rubber and had a roller behind that pushed the locking strip into place. A quick Google doesn't come up with a supplier.

Plenty of tools without the roller but I didn't have any success looking for one with a roller.

I need work to buy the tool so I can borrow it to install new rubbers on a couple of Land Rovers

One more Google using different words in the search....

    Just a moment...

Not sure how strong the wires are, I did have to use some force as the radius I was installing the seal was probably below the minimum suggested. Plenty of soapy water should fix that.

The company is only just down the road from us which is a bonus !

I wish you'd posted that a week ago!

I've just reinstalled the Alpine windows in a D1.

    My fingers are still recovering.

I've successfully used a 3/8" or 7/16" ring spanner to simultaneously spread the moulding and feed the locking strip in through the hole.

Purchased one of the tools this morning for work.
    Just a moment...

Once you've worked out the best way to assemble it & tweaked the wires a bit, it was very easy to insert the locking strip.
Something that took 20-30 minutes (plus a lot of cursing) now takes less than one minute.

For some reason I'd been lumbered with the job of assembling window panels in control enclosures as everyone hated it. I've now trained someone and showed how easy it is so I can back out gracefully......

When I get round to doing the window seals in my shorty I can borrow the tool, although it's cheap enough, so I might just buy one.
