    Range Rover Classic Hub Conversion

    Hiya All,

I'm rebuilding a trailer at the moment (which down the track will be converted to a camper trailer) and I'd like to convert the hubs to accept Range Rover classic wheels to match the tow vehicle so i don't have to carry too many spares.

Anyone know where I can get something like this (in SE QLD or via mail order). Also, is this the same stud pattern as a defender, as that may also be used as the tow vehicle.

    Cheers,

Range Rover Classic shares a stud pattern with Discovery Series 1, Defender, County, Series 1/2/2A/3.

Shouldn't be a drama to find hubs.

They all have the same stud pattern,......

but be aware that up to the intro of the SIII the studs and nuts were smaller in diameter.

Found this on a 7x4 homemade trailer I have just bought to go behind my Disco. One side is SIII Landie, the other is pre SIII.

I'll be changing the SII hub to SIII, so that the wheel brace in the truck un-does all 7 sets of wheel nuts.

I've been told that the very late SIII went to the same hub bearing setup as Def's/Disco's.

Long term plan is to turn the trailer into a 4X4 trailer with an AU/BA/BF ute tub, and make something similar (but better than what I had in Canberra).

Do a search in this category as there is a recent thread on this topic( about D2 but I refer back to an old post).
    The short answer is
If you have parallel bearings then.
ALKO will supply parallel bearing drums/hubs if you want to use steel wheels.
You have to DIY if you want alloy wheels.
If you want more details search or ask.
