Bugger, I bought a hard floor off them this morning.
VCAT Orders are followed about as closely as 100% claims. No refund so Sherifs office took it for me and went to collect from the VCAT order last week.![]()
They did not stuff the Sheiff about and gave him my money and cost.
Took the trailer back today. The wheels nearly feel off. Two wheel nuts had come off and every other one was loose on both sides. I think when assembled they had put them on hand tight only.
Put two new nuts on and tightened everything up so I could take it home for them. It traveled 20km to here and a similar distance back to Mulgrave today.
They are not happy. Front tool box and trailer have a heap of water inside. Canvas which is still in it orgional covering is apparently moldy due to the leaks. They think I must have used it I suppose. That would be dificult for me to tow two traliers at once - I didn't. It has been outside waiting to go back for about twelve months now. It has rained lots but still supprising how much water has accumulated in it.
Noticed almost all the sealing strips have fallen off. They used cheap double sided tape
It will be interesting if they try my trick at VCAT for the moldy canvas. I wonder if they might have forgotten about the 100% sealed promise?
If they try it on I will be seeking costs this time. Be happy to swear it has traveld only 40odd Km and never used and show vcat lots of camping photos in my trailer not thiers!Winning feels good

Bugger, I bought a hard floor off them this morning.
If you read the thread the hardfloor has been relative hassle free. It was the soft floor that has had issues.
I havent brought mine yet. Thinking about getting some mates together and buying 4-6 direct from the factory and assembly them ourselves.
As I found a factory that makes copies of some of the bigger priced hardfloors.
I have bought one of these Chinese import/assembled here in Australia from Tyre King (I think that's there name) in Dandenong, Vic.
I bought the trailer knowing it's origins after a thorough inspection.
Fully galvanised steel chassis with welds better than most so called Aussie built trailers. Draw bar is bolted on with quality bolts and nuts, welds on this also ok.
Has Treg (type) Hitch (chinese branch), square axle, proper leaf springs with bushes, Electric brakes, stainless draws for kitchen and battery box, large alloy box on drawbar, 9kg gas bottle holder, 2 jerry can holders. Proper pinch weld rubber seals on box and draw lids as well as rubber seals where draws close to body. Triple seal between roof/hard floor, S/S hinges, water pump, battery, charger, water tank and 4 burner S/S slide out kitchen with sink and tap/drain, rock guard on draw bar, 3 new 15" sunraysia rims and tyres, canvas good, some of the poles need loosening up for the supplied Annex and walls.
As I said I looked at this trailer and found the structural work sound, I knew I would have to do some work on it to get it where I want it, like:
Reposition the water tank and brackets, replace the 50kg. innerspring queen size mattress with a Dunlopillow double size 10Kg. mattress, which gives me some room along side the bed and makes it easy to make the bed.
Move the battery from underneath the head of the bed to the large cargo box on the drawbar along with all electrics, reroute the gas hose from the same area (under the bed) to outside.
Install a battery management system in the cargo box, fit a real set of shocks and modify the mounts so the shocks will be almost vertical, instead of almost horizontal.
Set up a tow/recovery point and protection bar under the LED tailights.
I couldn't build this trailer for the price I paid for mine, which was $5200 w/rego, so I figured if I spent a coule of grand I will have a trailer I will be confident of taking anywhere, so I am happy with my trailer, because I know what I bought, towed it from Melbourne to home (up the Hume) and it poured all the way, not a leak anywhere, been camping twice, only one leak in canvas roof, very slight, will have to season it properly and spray on some of that sealing stuff, my story, regards Frank.
I believe Bradmill still make canvas and denim fabric locally but it usually gets cut/sewn OS.

I pick up my new Mars Road King CTHHA1 hard floor on Friday.
Will be giving it a good go over before it leaves their yard, including wheel nuts.
I have been told by one who knows, to replace the axle U bolts for high tensile ones which I will do.
I have been to their yard (A&S Power sellers) and I can not fault the welding.
I will give you all a report on the thing in a week or two after I have got to know it better.
I paid #5451.00 at auction by bidding at ten seconds before the end.
I think I was bidding against the company as their bids are private.
Picked up my new hard floor CT from Mars Power sellers at lunch time today.
It tows like a dream and I put it up of course when I got home.
So far only two very small faults. One a couple of the screws missed the body when securing the draw latch to the kitchen draw and the other thing is the screw lock on one of the kitchen stablizers does not screw in and lock the leg just needs a tap running through it.
I was very pleased to find it has a plastic water tank and not the advertised stainless one. I feel S/Steel will suffer more from stone damage.
So far so good , I have not had the time to put the annex up yet but tomorrow if the weather allows.
One other thing is that the jockey wheel is a lousy fit as it does not allow the trailer to go low enough to fit on the land rover. Also when hitched up you can't swivel the jockey wheel down into position to use it.
The head man there finally ADMITTED TO ME THAT IT IS MADE IN CHINA... So what , my three cars are made in USA,Japan , and UK.
and I am not worried by that at all. I have eyes and have worked in the caravan industry for five years and I tell you what, I would sooner have this rig over any caravan I have ever seen.
More soon. Regards Nick.
