If space is a premium for carrying stuff when camping, which is usually the case then I wouldn't bother with a porta potti.

I'd go for a Thunderbox given that they fold flat and are a decent height. Just make sure you take a few big rubbush bags to fit in them and a good shovel to bury the byproduct.

The original site below is not the cheapest site to buy them from but it shows one folded flat and as you can see they take up no room. You can also get them on ebay for much less.

As for the chemicals you buy for cassette toilets, in general the chemicals are expensive smelly rubbish. The secret is nappysan mixed in with some warm water before using, it stops any smell and breaks down all solids given time believe it or not, and costs a fraction of the recommended chemicals.

    cheers,

Bought a thunderbox and took it on Cape york trip. Used biodegradeable plastic bags. There is some other stuff you can buy to sprinkle in the bag, haven't found a supplier yet, it's a polymer which when in contact with fecal waste, kills the odour and forms a solid product which is suitable for disposing in the rubbish bin...apparently it's available in the USA esp for use with invalide potty chairs etc...seems the go. I just kept a bag of cold ash from each day's fire and put that in and buried the lot. Thunderbox sells the bags with the "device". It's just the right height and quite comfortable...!!

There is a duel wheel ratchet drive thingie product available. My dad has a boat that is 3.1t with 280kg on the ball. It lives in a shed with a final position that is not possible to do with it on the car due to the driveway layout. He backs it into the shed then goes forward and back couple time with the ratchet handle – he’s nearly 70 and has no problem moving it around.

Way over the top for what you want Duel wheel mover
