    Another Gas Query...........

My Dormobile has a two burner / grill fitted which is the original 35 year old unit. I've removed the old gas bottle from underneath and it has a "propane" label attached to it but has an lpg regulator fitted

I need to know if this unit will be okay to run on lpg as it's so old ??? I've purchased a new bottle of gas, regulator and pipe and have it all connected ready to ignite, but I'm a bit hesitant as I'm not sure

    Any expert advice please ???

All the same stuff. We used to get bulk Propane delivered where I used to work, and the nozzle from the tanker was the same as what's on a car. They used to fill up my car when they came around, as it was parked near the gas tanks, and the fuel filler flap just happened to be open on the days they visited.... It was good stuff too, got better milage and the engine ran smoother on that stuff.

Yup! Propane is the chemical name for the stuff that goes in a cooking-style LPG gas bottle. Autogas LPG contains propane plus butane mainly, and should not be used in cookers. It's fine the other way around as bacicat says.
