Chassis at the moment is planned to be wider than the Landrover chassis so the springs are under it rather than on outriggers like the 109. Body will be supported on the rails and attached to crossmembers front and back.

John I am building a camper using my army trailer chassis, a LWB tub and a SWB roof, which is the exact same length as the LWB tub. Even the bolt holes for mounting the tub are the same on the army trailer, have to extend the mounting bars 6" though. Haven't decided whether to have the top go straight up like a pop-top or pivot at the front (like the Ho-Hars), have fitted a Treg Hitch in place of the original ring, will post up some pics when I get into building it, Regards Frank.

This is all very interesting.I have a shortened No 5 Chassis with a SWB tub on it, which I intend fitting my rooftop tent to. My idea was to bolt the roll cage which had been retro fitted to my GB (Lewis) on to the tub and fit the tent to that, then tidying up the tub at front and top.I do admit though, the idea of fitting a hard top roof has entered my mind and then the tent could be fitted to that.Decisions, decisions.
