    Unfortunately you can't fit one in the same position on a D3/4 as there is a vent there. Mine is fitted just to the left of the instrument area. Easy to reach, again easy to see and easy to get to in an emergency.

    so the second solar panel is on,,
    and number three battery is in,,

    and nothing.
    no bells

    Go out and fill your water tanks, stock the fridge with beer (and some food) then go to a free camp somewhere and relax for a week or so.....then your investment will start ringing, flashing and blinging.

    yea, robbo,, just done that,,
    what I have stopped doing,,
    in all of 4 days,,
    is plugging the anderson plug in from the car to the van.
    I figure the van can now stand on its own 4 feet.

    Just come back from 4 days at Meandarra, which included the Anzac Service, free tour of the Meandarra Anzac Memorial, tour of Montys Car Museum and tasting the local XXXX,,
    Car and van performed faultlessly. Not one thing failed, broke down or didnt work as written on the tin.
    We had just bought a new 12V telly (as the previous one had started eating DVD's) only to find Meandarra has no DVB reception, luckily I had planned ahead and had a USB drive with ten movies.
