    12v conversion

    Hi all

I have just bought a new 60's van that I going refurbish and want to get rid of the 240v as too much of a Pain to rewire as would have to gut the van and I know if I go that far it will just turn into another unfinished project. If I was to run an inverter on 12v would that power a 240v bar fridge ok as 12 v uprights are bloody pricey?

    Cheers

cheap 240V upright bar fridges are generally very inefficient in terms of energy consumption and have primitive electricals = large current draw when they cut in... if you could somehow get the compressor etc from a 12V car fridge at a reasonable price and graft it into a bar fridge then...
