Howdy,
Timely reminder to check the condition of your leaf springs as I had a very "lucky" break on the weekend.. Just pulled into Bridgetown, a small town in the SW of WA after three hours of 90-100km/h driving through winding, twisting roads only to have the LHS leaf spring of my camper trailer snap whilst only doing 40km/h down the main street. Wheel tucked up into the wheel well which locked on the handbrake, locking up the wheels which left a 15m skid down the main street. I still get a shudder when I think what could of happened if it had let go at 100km/h..

We got out very lightly with a nights accommodation at the local mechanics (Davmech) workshop, a mercy dash to Bunbury to pick up a new set of springs and on our way again by 8.30am the next day.. Phew!

Cheers
Chookie
