You could adapt a D2 axle to fit by altering the mounts or just use a standard trailer axle with commodore hubs ( slight mods required to fit D2 wheels )
I have a Heavy Duty off road trailer using the rear chassis and axle/ suspension from an '88 RR rear.
Question
Will a D2 Diff/ Axle assembly complete replace the existing? This would be an easy engineer solution to update to D2 Hubs.
I suspect not. Any easy solution?
Alternatively what about a D1 assembly? are the dimensions of trailing arms and shock mounts the same?
How can I otherwise convert to D2 stud pattern.

Thanks but this is the second trailer of this design. I wouldn't swap the RR suspension for that of a horse cart.
what is the difference between D2 and the current RR
