    Redarc Tow Pro

I recently had a Redarc Tow Pro fitted to my 2014 RangeRover Sports.

I had an earlier model of the Redarc brake controller on my previousvehicle for around 5 years and it worked well.

However, the features of the new Tow Pro are impressive. The controller fitted to the dash is even smallerand more aesthetically appealing than the old one. I had it mounted on the left side of thesteering column ? it is very neat and inconspicuous but easily accessible.

The Tow Pro has a manual and automatic setting. Towing a heavy boat is my main use and theautomatic mode is fantastic with exceptionally smooth braking. If needed, it is easy to change between theautomatic (inertia sensor controlled) and the automatic mode.

Congratulations to Anthony and the team at RedarcElectronics in developing such an innovative marketing leading product thatprovides smooth braking and extra safety features providing peace of mind.

I thoroughly recommend Tow Pro to anyone in need of (orlooking to upgrade) an electric brake controller.

I have one in my defender. I also have the older model in my other defender. I have not used the new one much but it does seem to work well. The old one works well also and I do like the manual override lever that it has. Not sure how the new one will go off-road though.

I got the newer model partly because I thought it would be easy to fit. But that was not the case. Yes it's neat once installed but it was not easy to find a suitable place to fit it. The cable connection to the head unit to the controller is difficult to feed behind the dash because of the large size connectors. Also the dash has to be quite thin to mount the control knob. i drilled a hole in the dash only to find out the dash was too thick at that location. Its never easy to find a place for brake controllers so I can't really blame the unit. However if you are going to install it yourself take a good look at the unit to see if it will work.

One installed it is dead simple to set set up and use.
