Thread: new toy

I picked up a new toy/ project today from ebay in Shepparton.
It is a caravan tandem chassis which is bare, no floor yet. it has been reinforced with strong steel cross bars.
I plan to put my old Franklin slide on on it permanently.
So far I have only paced it out but it seems to fit the full length of the slide on.
I may have to move the wheels back. Early days yet will sleep on it and fit it in around all the other jobs.
After all the welding is done I will get it sandblasted and primed.
I think I will have to build a frame to lift it up over the mud guards. That would be a plus for storage but a minus for windage. Time will tell.

I saw similar to what you describe for sale in an old caravan magazine.
