Taller Coils or bags when towing

My D1 has 2" lift but it starts to sag when loaded as expected. It got me thinking that when ill be towing the caravan the sag will be worse. So what option (cost effective) is the one i should consider, taller/stronger coils or bags? Must admit i am looking at a cheap option, so coils are on my radar. But taller coils may cause uni probs and stiffer coils will be of detriment in off road trips...

What have you guys done? Thoughts?

Have you thought about the air bags that go inside your existing springs?

I ran these on a D2 for a while... worked great...

Having tried the air bags above, and the bellows type - I fall back on the KISS principle. Fitting stiffer springs, with a constant load rating that hold your vehicle at the correct height when loaded leaves you with less to go wrong - if you rely on air bags and one blows when you are miles from anywhere (which is the point of a land rover!) you are up the creek.

Keep you usual springs to fit back in when not towing, as it takes all of 15 minutes and one spanner to change the rear springs.

You could go with a set of progressive rate springs in the rear but if you are happy with them when not towing then i would go with the air bags.

How do they level then They'd either ride like crap on rock hard springs, or drag the arse up the road like a dog with worms if loaded ....
