    Getting a new toy soon...

I'm a bit excited, this weekend we are picking up a second hand Conqueror UEV 390. It has quite alot of extras (independant suspension, diesel hot water system, electric brakes, 7x7m tarp with side walls etc). I 've yet to see it in the flesh, so I'm hoping it's all in OK condition.

With a bit of luck this will make it a bit easier for us (we have 3 young kids) to get away more often. At least that's the plan!

Will post some pics when we get it, if anyone's interested.

    Cheers
    Sean

I've looked at these on the internet and can never seem to work out how they setup so pictures would be good.

Well we picked up the camper on the weekend, pretty happy. Very solid and well made. Only problem we've discovered - it won't fit in our garage! The hight spec mentioned on the conqueror brochure doesn't include the tent - doh!

Searching for a storage cover now ...

Make sure you get a quality one. And that it can breathe or you'll get moisture problems.

Might pay to place some "slats" between the top of the tent and cover to ensure air flow...

I've bought one of these from Ebay. Supposed to be breathable.

The slats is a good idea, I'll do that too. Long term though, we will probably be building a carport. We now have a Defender and camper trailer that don't fit the garages!

    Thumbs up Camper

    Congrats Mojo,

I look forward to the pictures.

I would look around for some small wheels , (old mini wheels etc) weld new centers in them and drill the stud pattern to suit, you could probably drop it 200 mm. cheaper and better than a cover IMV. cheers simmo

OK, I'm about 8 months overdue, but better late than never!

The first 2 show just the tent erected, with the kitchen and fridge areas.

The next 2 we have the L shaped awning up, covering 2 sides of the trailer.

And the last one we have the full tarp up, giving an awning over all 4 sides of the trailer.

We also have some side wall panels that can be used with either the L shaped awning or full awning, but we haven't used them yet.

    Cheers
