Hi,
I hve a trailer that I had built about 3 years ago - and I no want to change the bubs/axles for braked ones...
The supplier I used last time says he cannot do a braked hum/axle for the Disco 2...
Anyone go a source for these? I want to add brakes as I sometimes end up with a very heavy load, and am looking at a camper conversion...
Thanks,
Simon

130's rule
Simon try Melbourne trailers they did mine or AL-KO in Melbourne they told me if Melbourne trailer couldn't do it they would make some for me.
The other option is buy a blank drum hub and have it drilled to suit the Disco stud (14mm) and stud pattern, all 9" drum hubs are a standard size only the stud pattern is differant, the studs are $15.00 each.
The stud pattern is a 120 PCD.

Hi Simon
don't know if you have this sorted yet..... I don't know if there is 'off the shelf' units available now. Here's my experience
I fitted braked D11 hubs to my camper (approx 1100kg) about 4 years ago. At the time no one had D11 hubs and Al-CO (brisbane) told me it couldn't be done.
However - I used Commodore hubs (stud spacing is the same) and replaced the studs with 14mm (78 / 100 series Landcruiser because I couldn't get LR).
If you use LR alloys, the centre cap will have to machined out by 1 or 2 mm to fit over the outer bearing housing and you will need the 14mm studs for the LR wheel nuts. Steel rims will fit straight on, and the standard 'trailer' studs (actually 9/16) and nuts to suit the 100 LCruiser can be used.
Have not had any problems since it was done.
BUT, the alloys on the Disco WON'T fit the trailer, but the trailer wheels do fit the car. I purchased a set of four alloys from the wreaker so when we do a long trip there is two spares on the trailer and the spare on the back of the car, that gives us three spares that can be used on the car, and two that can go on the trailer, heaps for what we do.
Hope this helps
Harlie i had hubs made so you could put the wheels off the car onto the trailer and visa versa, but knowing what i know now i would opt for the blank hub to be drilled, not only is the Commadore a 120 PCD but the 5 stud BMW is the same as well as the p38a RR, the Rover 14mm studs are now available in most places.
Baz.
