    Discovery Sport TD150 towing capacity

I am looking at buying a DS TD150 auto. I have a concern about is capability to reverse a heavy trailer up a steep incline without damaging the transmission. The trailer and boat weighs approximately 1500kg and the driveway up to my house is 17 degrees (or 30 %). Without low range I'm concerned the slippage under load will seriously shorten the transmission life. As a guide, the clutch in a manual Nissan Patrol I had a few years back eventually needed replacement. I've had a Massa BT50 and a Merc ML430 which both had autos and low range and did it well.
I'm hoping to find others that have / are using a DS TD 150 in a similar way.

I don't think it would be wise to use the Disco Sport for with that gradiant and no low range, actually with any vehicle for that matter, we have a steep driveway also luckly it's the opposite to your's, but I use still low range to back out of the driveway even though I don't have to.

Buy an old cheap dunga 4WD ute, I've seen them for around the $500 to $1000 and use that as your driveway parking tool
    Cheers Baz.
