Yes, the panels rating is at 25 degrees. But remember it doesn't matter how much cooling you have on a 30 or 40 degree day, any panel, no matter how it is installed will be down around 10 to 15%. Also, no matter what gap you have underneath them, panels laid flat or almost flat like on a van can't vent the hot air very well anyway as the hot air rises and gets trapped under tye panel.

As for leaks, I've never had any from using ali angle like I have, using the right sealant - ie NOT silicone, will see you right. 👍

A temp gun reading of the glass and then the ally panel sides, and then Gavs ally angle would be interesting,,,

I’ll see if I can find my temp gun when I get home but it hasn’t been hot at all for weeks down here. Maybe 27 today but sunny, so maybe get a reading that means something.

Making holes for the wind to whistle through? Allowing more spiders and ants to set up home? Personally I'd glue the beggars down tight or carry them loose, inside.

It's far more streamlined than any modern van - the tow vehicle - the 101 - is the brick. 😁 And who's gunna hear it whistle above the noise that makes. 😆
