    Any one with an ORAC?

I recently bought a 10 year old Campomatic.
    Great thing.
To see my dramas trying to get Landrover pattern hubs see the main board.
However, The Campomatic has a Treg with override Brake mount.
To be able to open the tailgate on my 92 Rangie I have to have the tongue ( no drop, Ie ball mount in line with the bottom of the receiver box section) in the low position,a dnfit the pin spring on the bottom.

If I fitted an ORAC, I could flip the tongue and still open the tailgate, and therefore have considerably better departure angle
1 anyone have comments on an ORAC
2 Anyone have the bolt spacings of the ORAC with override bolted mount..

My experience with Camec is that nobody seems to know anything.
    Regards Philip A

Couplings on the draw bar, http://www.trailerwarehouse.com.au/i...rget=d218.html

These are designed to allow the trailer to roll over without taking the vehicle over with it.

I had an Orac hitch on my last camper and managed to keep the shiny side up.

Sorry I cannot help Philip A as I towed it with a Defender and Discovery with hinged rear doors.

Not if you are a cabinetmaker like me. PVA glue won't hold steel together .

I had this problem of not being able to open the rear door, i had a Treg coupling on the trailer and Disco.

What i did was put a Trigg receiver on the Disco and left the Tregg coupling on the trailer, the Trigg receiver is about 4 to 5" longer and will interchange with the Tregg coupling, it's cheaper and easier than going to a differant coupling receiver alltogether.

The Trigg receiver on the car mounts about 6" back from the coupling pin, the Tregg mounts just 2" back, it was enough to allow me to open the rear door
