Just a thought - does anyone local make them? They might lend you one as sponsorship. You'd give them plenty of exposure on a long trip!
Hi everyone,
Just wondering if anybody has access to a standard size box trailer they would be willing to rent out for cash or beer. Preferably around Sydney or within striking distance.
I'm participating in an expedition adventure race (www.xpd.com.au) starting from Airlie Beach on the Whitsunday coast in mid August. Due to the copious amount of mandatory equipment we (team of 4) have decided to drive up, as most teams will do.
We were lucky enough to secure a company car and fuel for the trip. The only problem is we have to take up 6 x 80L containers, 4 bikes, 4 people, paddles and a ****load of gear so we are looking for a box trailer or similar to tow behind a Honda Odyssey. Doesn't have to be big as long as we can get some of the gear out of the car. Most of the standard rental companies i.e: Coates don't have insurance to cover interstate trips and their prices are ridiculous to say the least.
Dates are from the 16th Aug. to 2 Sept. The trailer will only be used to travel there and back as the race takes up to 9 days (800km) to complete.
If somebody can help out please let me know on henry@greylandy.com or henry@maxadventure.com.au
Thanks,

Just hire one from either:
www.moveyourselftrailer.com.au
www.uhaul.com.au
both are cheap - I rented a 6x4 cage one way Melb -> Syd and it cost less than $150.
