niiioooooocccccceeeeeee job mate
:twobeers:
Looks fantastic.
How did you go welding the galvanised beams? I was always told that it was dangerous (fumes are toxic).
Did you just spray the welds afterwards with cold-galv?
Yeah, fumes are toxic, need to ensure good ventilation when welding galvanised beams, also, to ensure good penetration and an even quality weld, you need to grind the galvanising off in the immediate weld area. This helps with fumes. In my case i leave the shed door open and set up a fan to help with air circulation.
Sprayed all the welds on the chassis with cold galv, the trailer is now going to be etch primed and then painted with a grey hammerite finish paint. So should be easy to touch up in the future.
NICE WORK:cool::cool::cool::cool:
Did you go with brakes????
You will need them if you want to carry anything,mine is 580kg empty with 2 spare wheels,licenced to 2000kg.
Did you find it bounces unladen? mine does a bit more than Im happy with,but soon as it gets any weight its no problem at all.
The Mrs had somebody looking at it the otherday,wanted to know where I bought it as they want one:cool::cool::cool::cool::cool:,she told them to call in when the Black Disco is home.
Also an older gent driving a D1 asked was it a real Landy trailer when I was getting fuel with it hitched up,I said you bet it is its a LandyAndy Trailer:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D.
Keep up the great work,keep the pics coming.
Nothing like the satisfaction of doing it yourself.
ENJOY
