Seeking advice on a camper trailer mod

    Hey all,
We've bought a second-hand camper trailer to pull behind the Disco. The previous owner decided to put a three-way fridge and cooktop on a box that sits on the extended drawbar. It's a neat job and a good idea, but if we turn too hard to the left the edge of the box catches on the step to get into the rear of the Disco.
The best solution to get a tighter turning circle is to put the box on a sliding system so that we can push it back about 150mm. We will need to slide it forward to gain access to the spare wheel, bolted onto the bottom of the drawbar's A-frame, and also to open the box.
Question is, what's the best way to do this? The only limitations are that we can't lift the box too much higher, maybe 20mm, or else it won't fit under the deck on the top of the camper trailer, and that we need to be able to lock it in the stowed position while travelling. Also needs to be strong enough to handle travel and easy enough to use so that the more delicate members of the family can set up or stow it if needed.
I've had a stab at uploading a pic to illustrate what I'm talking about.
    Cheers, sanbar

Why not just get an extended drawbar for the disco?

if you have a tail gate that opens sideways acquire a sapre whel bracket off a disco and bolt or weld it to the tail gate. Then move the box back and leave it their. By the pic i would gues the draw bar would be heavy, by doing this it would lighten the weight on the tow ball and easier to get to the spare wheel ( hopefully not required.
