Outbound Tours - Hire
Hi,
as I can't find any hire places in Tassie to test a camper trailer so I thought this might be a good excuse to go to Melbourne for a week.
I want to hire a trailer to see how we go with 2 kids before I spend some money and get myself one of there. I could not find much information on the net so I thought I'll ask you guys for any places in Melbourne that hire camper trailer. Best would be a trailer that I can afford later on as well (Lifestyle/Castaway/Tambo/Camel/Customline).
Thanks,
Matt

Thanks.
Just seen this is on soon as well:
NATIONAL 4X4 SHOW
MELBOURNE EXHIBITION CENTRE
OCTOBER 23 - 26 2008
Are those shows a good place to get some impression of the quality of those trailers as well ?
Also from what I've seen non of the one I've named above will be there.
Matt
A quick check of the Adventure Campers website says that they will be there so it should have a fair representation of camper manufacturers I would expect.

Yes, if you can make it I would highly recommend this. It doesn't have as many exhibitors as Melbourne Leisurefest
But I would recommend it as a good chance to look at specifics without being overloaded with information. We went last year and it helped a lot, there was at least 20 trailer makes on display.
Also check out campertrailers.org and join the Yahoo Camper trailer Group.

I hired one from here once.
O'Briens Off Road Trailers Campers On road and All Terrain
I found the 4x4 show on campertrailers.org
What about the Melbourne Leisurefest ?
Which one to go to if I'm after a camper trailer and new boat and new car and and and
No, just camper trailer for now.

Hi Roadrunner
Where abouts in Tassie are you?
I will have mine set up at Port Sorell over the school holidays. Your more than welcolme to have a look at it if you are in the area.
It has a 14' tent and is still in the setting out stage (had a mate make the trailer and purchased the tent over the net) I have just received a Drifter kitchen which looks great.
Cheers Andy
