Ean , what model pioneer is it? does it have electric or disc brakes? it's my understanding the the D2 mags wont fit electric brakes, there are a few posts on the issue.
Regards Roger
Gday All,just got a pioneer camper trailer and want to change the old nissan stud pattern to suit my D2 pattern.I have 5 spare alloy wheels so want to make all the same,I looked at landyandy,s trailer build and he had to die-grind his steel rims.
Was wondering if its possible to get a hub to suit the alloy wheels.Any help would be greatly helpfull..
Cheers Ean

Gday Roger,Its the prospecter2 it has hydrolic style brakes.I think I will contact pioneer when I get back to town.

Hi Ean,
You will need a hub with a 5X120mm PCD (fairly common). Just make sure the centre hole in the D2 alloy fits over the hub centre.
BUT you will need to replace the studs with D2, P38, or VZ(I think) Commodore studs. These are 14mm studs to match the D2 wheel nuts.
Hope this helps.

I had a tradesman trailer made for me in Wodonga a couple of years ago which was fitted with Land Rover stubs to suit the D1 aswell as suit electric brakes, was a good unit, it's cruising around up the Cape somewhere now I believe, lucky bugger

Its easy to get the rims machined if you are in the city.
You just need to find an engineer shop with a big enough Lathe. We have a big one here in Williams and a slightly bigger one in Narrogin. Both could only grip 15.5",thats why I did it with the die grinder.
Dont forget, you can use D2 Steel rims on the camper and camper spare. They then will be 100% intergangeable with the D2,just not as pretty. They will fit electric brake hubs.

Thanks Andrew,I have got 9 alloy rims so thats why I was hoping to use the alloys.Im sure the workshop who does all our prop shafts on the boats has a lathe big enough.
Cheers and Thanks Ean
Hi Ean
You will need to find some 14mm studs.
Ive got 100 Series Landcruiser studs, the trailer mob had to modify the electric brakes because they are too short to use in the usual way.
I believe the latest commodore has 14mm studs, unsure about the length.

When my Pioneer Argyle was made they said they couldn't fit disc brakes as the LR hubs were too big or something, so we had electric drums fitted instead and they work well.
Now I've got a Tojobut won't bother changing the camper hubs to suit.
