I have a Trayon on a 98 Defender. It is a very clever design and very well made. My wife and I have spent a couple of months at a time in it.

For the things I want to do, I don't think there is anything better on the market.

An advantage of a compact slide-on is that it doesn't stop you going offroad.

    This is their website.

I have to agree with VNX205, I've also got a trayon which goes on my single cab 130. They are actually light when compared to the opposition but still really sturdy. The light weight allows you to load your vehicle with extra fuel, water and other bits of kit for lengthy trips and still be under the axle weights. Something few vehicles setting off on long trips would be.

Would the dual-cab models fit on a 130 tray? Is there an option to lift them off at a campsite, and leave them there whilst you head out for the day?

Awesome setup for families with kids (i.e. us!).

I hate to ask - what's the cost?

How long to lift off the tray, and how long to set up the tent?
