    OFFROAD CAMPER BUILD (lots of pics)

    Well i brought an old poptop van to convert into an offroad camper.
    This is it as i brought it..













    That it old & falling apart..But the canvas is in real good condition..

    1969 LWB S2a yellow, gone
    1972 LWB S2a 5 DOOR wagon coming & GONE
    1973 LWB S3 green Sadly GONE
    1977 LWB S3 tabletop building
    1992 disco BOINGY BOINGY

    We then made it narrower as it was way to wide.this is the frame & 1/4 walls beeing done..

    Now the bed & the side beds, power .we started with lino but went with carpet in the end..

    looks good so far are you going to beef up the suspension may be some shocks to stop it bouncing to death

    It origanaly had a fibreglass roof but that was shot so we made one from 1"x1" timber & 4mm ply,then painted it in epoxy & we where going to trim the side with some right angle aluminuim..

    Looks like you increased the length of the draw bar? makes it a bit better offroad and reversing, noticed the dates on the pics its regoed now? whats it travel like? I have pics of mine in the gallery section bit bigger but have to take heaps when i go bush

    This is where we got it upto after i had sewn all the canvas back together after making it narrow as well...THEN it was sold on as an unfinished project..
    BUT is was fun to do we now wish we never sold it..




















    If we had kept it we would of changed the hubs to suit the rover wheels..
    BUT i would realy like to do another one ...(should never of sold it..

    We wish na we had to sell it.yes we did lengthen the draw bar & i had made a box to go on it aswell but i dont have a pic of it...
