Aah ha .................. , would I be right in assuming East/West with output on the drivers side feeding a chain drive (a bit like a Patrol transfer case) down to a cross shaft into a 90 degree (bevel gear ?) drive to a rear input facing diff ?

    Thanks

Not sure about the chain transfer, but definitely a transfer of some description.
The east/west certainly makes the motor very accessible and I could easily slip the gearbox out the side and replace a clutch if need be.

    Cheers, Mick.

    Some info on the engine,
it's actually a 6D16, 7545cc and interestingly it has the same stroke as a 4BD1 Isuzu donk, 118mm, with just another couple of pots.

    Cheers, Mick.

A guy near me has had a Denning 40' three axle highway coach, Detroit 8V71N, 7 speed Spicer box, Rockwell axle for sale for quite some time. Fully kitted out as a mobile home.

Anyone interested then PM me and I will get his name, 'phone, $$$$$$$ to you.
