Welcome to 101 ownership - they are a great vehicle - nice to drive and attract a lot of attention.

Cool!
Looks like its had a fair bit of work done by the PO? Ay chance of a few more pics, and some info on it? Is it an ex Australian Army unit or an import? So many questions
Congratulations on your purchase. I'm sure you'll have a blast with it.
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.
Chassis number would be good. We could then run it through the usual sources.
Awesome!!! I look forward to seeing it one day. I have a hankering for a 101 one day but I fear I have too many "hankerings" and not enough "one days"
Welcome Aboard.
Congratulations, from the photograph supplied it looks like a very tidy vehicle.
Cheers, Pickles.
I have bought the 101 from a deceased estate so unfortunately much knowledge has been lost. From a file of docs that I got with it I know the following.
Chassis No. 95600852A
It was bought un registered by the previous owner from " A dealer" in Auburn NSW in March 1994 with 6204 miles on the clock.
was driven away on a permit. Now has 7093 miles on clock!
It was professionally repainted in 1995.
It has a 6.2 Turbo`d GM V8 diesel fitted but not finished, as far as I can tell at the moment it just needs coolant and fuel lines plumbing, and a new engine cover making to suit. ( think I might be a bit optimistic there) The original Rover V8 and engine cover is with it as is the monster PTO winch a several boxes of "stuff"
has leaks from all the usual old landy leak spots, brakes, diffs etc and typical dodgy wiring that needs sorting. I will post a few more pics when I get chance.
If any one can point me in the right direction to trace a bit of its history it would be appreciated.
Cheers
Ian
Welcome! Nice vehicle... and I'm very curious too!! I'll shortly be fitting a Cummins to my 101... but initially looked at a GMC 6.2 or 6.5 but was put off by a few things. I'd be (think we'd all be) interested in a few pics of under the engine cover... as I believe the GM to be a very tight fit between the rails! Good work on your find!!!
