I'm interested in any difference to fuel economy with the remap, as well as more power.

    Cheers,

Haven't yet done mine but plan to. I was not contemplating buying a D2 but after driving a chipped one I was in love.
    Dave.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

Well I used to think that chipping put a lot of extra strain on everything else once done.....until......I just bought a new D2a that has been chipped by Davis Performance, what a difference!! Do it you won't be disappointed.

If your's is an early modell with MSB ECU you can buy the remapped chip from ebay (automotive-labs) then just find somebody with the proper equipment to fit the new chip instead the old one... i have this on mine and fitted to few others and it works exactly like any other remap for these ECUs(perfect) cos there will be loaded with a map suitable for your ECUs part number... the listing has ended but you can email the seller and he will send you the chip based on your ECUs part number and your choice, economy(stage1) or sport(stage 2), see the description Land Rover Discovery 1998 2001 TD5 Economy Remap Chip Fit Yourself DIY Kit | eBay
    Discovery Td5 (2000), manual, tuned
