SIII Paint colours and codes
I just wanted to add that my 1972 series 3 109 is painted a blue colour - not "Marine Blue" or the RAF Blue/Grey but a colour called "Tuscan Blue".
This colour was hard to track down and apparently only used for a very short time in 1972 on English Land Rover & Range Rover vehicles not being exported. My vehicle was imported privately. It has no "true"code (LRV 230 - Land rover original code) in the Australian computer data base, but rather a tint number....i have obtained the paint mix particulars and will scan them for reference by other series 3 owners. I plan to paint my 109 in it's original colours again as the Marine blue touch up is tired and clearly wrong. rich - AKA tribute_landy Last edited by Lotz-A-Landies; 14th August 2011 at 09:29 PM. |
