Finished reconditioning and respraying panels, cab and other bits for my Series 3 project. Now for the chassis.....and the engine....
There's also a complete Series 1 if anyone is interested - chassis and bulkhead pretty rotten, but all the panels and mechanicals seem OK. It's sitting in a field (The Series 3 was in a shed thankfully) ....

Changed the oil, oil filter and the fuel filter on 'Daisy' the D1 300TDi auto.
The fuel filter was last changed at 455,000 Klm's and todays was at 548,000 Klm's, the filter only had a couple of small spots come out of it when I shook it out, that's not bad for that distance, so I think the places we fill up from will be keeping us as customer's.
Started to change the side and indicator lights in 'Daisy's' Bullbar, but the weather and daylight was not being cooperative so I have put that aside for another day.
.
I removed the swivel pin seals.
New ones go on tomorrow.
Don't post here much as there is too much usually happening here anyway
The RED truck had a new rear wheel bearing fitted on Friday, last one was cactus and finally 'zara' is off the hoist and runing fine, been 3 weeks in the processnow don't have to drive the neighbours POOtroll ever again

I picked up one of those ALDI UHF radios and an aerial from Jaycar and installed. Seems to do the job.
Did an oil change on the hot rod today,,
did a post desert trip inspection, found lh parking light globe missing....replaced. Removed auxiliary lamps...mountings were loose...awaiting purchase of new ones. Found the flexible air duct between snorkel and airbox to be worn frayed and letting in lots of unwanted air and dust.....repaired with 100mph tape until new piece can be purchased. btw, sealing off the frayed section improved vehicle operation, obviously balanced air inlet.....
Replaced the worn H/D Rovertacks CV and axle, and fitted Ashcroft CV and Hi Tough short side axle, and replaced a weeping hub seal while it was apart on the 110.Adjusted the handbrake on the 110.Gave the Salisbury on the 130 a bit of a trim

Took one of the back seats out. Dug up a set of roof racks I had stuck down the back figuring I would never have a car with gutters again and started refurbishing them.
