Made my new mig welder trolley up today utilising a couple of bits from the 101 interior, the box under the attendants seat became a storage box and the gas regulator hangers for the oxygen became hooks on the side always nice to reuse stuff, probably should have used bolts opposed to rivets, we will see how it goes. Like the thread. Looking forward to seeing how the camper fit out takes shape. The engine also looks the goods. What sort of money has to change hands to get a 3.9 rebuilt and shipped from the UK?

    Regards Warrick.

Warrick its not just a rover engine Roland at ACR is passionate about his builds and you get the same treatment as if it were a Dakar racecar, everything is built from stratch and is improved from basic things like the new block used gets bored out and anti slip sleeves are inserted to ensure the block never has the porous issue, there are heaps of improvements it's then dyno'd and shipped.
I got it for $8k plus shipping which might be another grand depending who takes it, much less if it sails

Sounds like it will be an awesome engine. Where are you heading in the 101 when the camper is completed?

    Regards Warrick.

I will be interested in the range and economy you achieve with the new 3.9. I am still in the process myself of completing a rebuild of the driveline of my Stage One ute. I have rebuilt the 3.5 as a 3.9 and also reconditioned the gearbox. My intention is also to do a bit of traveling in the North West. Wouldn't mind heading to the Kimberly as I have never been up that far.

Looking forward to following the progress of your 101 build. I really do like 101's and maybe one day will try and get my hands on one.

    Regards Warrick.
