I thought I'd post this information up.
There are some who use different oils in 101's for different reasons. Please post up what you use, where and why.
There are some, me included, who thought "It's a gearbox. It must use gear oil." and ended up destroying the internals of their transfer case. Hopefully, we won't hear of this again.

On the hybrid, I've always used Penrite HPR gas 20W/50 mineral oil. Can't get that any more so now I'm using Penrite HPR gas 10W/50 semi synthetic. There is a new one out. Penrite HPR 10W/50 synthetic. I was thinking of trying that.

Trouble is, when I changed the oil in the 101 motor using the semi synthetic, it seems to have sprung leaks. Are these oils suitable for the 101?

Try emailing Penrite and ask their technician; they were very helpful when I asked them about oils for my S1.

They and you, will need to know if there is any bronze inside any assembly, in case the lubricant is incompatible with it,

    Cheers Charlie

Also Mick - as you post talks about Nokken winch oils I assume the tfr case figure is for a winch fitted transfer case so will be more than a non winch fitted transfer case.

Not sure what this amount would be - maybe some someone knows.

    Good point.
I just assumed the winch drive chain box quantity was added.

circlework has posted a thread on the LT95 oils. Thought it might be interesting to see what develops.

Noting that the 101 winch is gear driven not chain driven but the capacities of the lower bolt on unit is probably about the same.
