Ok, so now I have the pits cert, I have a few days wait for paperwork from Canberra, so this brings me to the question of weight.. My 101 has the original plate in the pax foot well which states a Max Vehicle Laden Weight of 3143kg, max front axle weight of 1665kg, and max rear axle weight of 1592kg..
Then there is an 'Increased max loading limits' which state Max Vehicle Laden Weight of 3652kg, max front axle weight of 1846kg, and a max rear axle weight of 1910kg... When I'm stood in the que about to part with yet more cash for rego, do I go the lesser or the greater? Diesel, wheels, roof, twin tanks, rah rah tell me to go later, but I'm guessing being over 3500kg there'll be a cost increase....... ???.. Any input/thoughts welcome! oh and excuse the paint over EVERYTHING... Not guilty!
I cannot speak for SA but Aussie Army 101s are the higher GVW and certainly in NSW/ACT/QLD where my vehicle has been registered there doesn't seem to be any penalty is is simply classed as a light truck and I pay the same rego as my RRS and my little Haflinger.
