Hadn't thought of that! Might just have to happen!
Gav. Spares are there to put a bit of weight at the back. Wanted to see where the rear prop runs with both wheels at the back. Now the tray is on, I needn't have worried. Prop angles are good, no rumbles on overrun, but, the spares do help. Once they're mounted on rear swingaways it'll help even more! No bucking tho. Surprisingly stable on the dirt too.. A lot more so than the 130 was!![]()

Well possibly one of the most impressive conversions in a long time, and so fast too!
The quality of the fabrication is second to none. "Well done" somehow sounds lame when compared to the effort put in.
Ian.
I think half the enjoyment is the challenge of making it work, and each thing that comes up gets dealt with. I knew I had a good chance of making it fit, but am glad I stuck with this engine combo not an Isuzu... A 6Bdt would have been hard work, as everything seems back to front... With the Cummins, the exhaust manifold and turbo etc are on the 'right' side... the prop side, which is the wider side. Any Land Rover conversion always has the engine biased to the left of the vehicle as the drive is on the right.. and this worked with the Cummins 6Bt. The issues with the left were the compressor and the fuel injection pump. The compressor is tight but I got away with it by moving the engine further back. The fuel injection pump is the closest thing to the bodywork (10mm from LH seat base, but torque movement pulls it away from the seat so this is good!!). Had the engine had the larger in line pump, it would have been a very different story! With the Isuzu the turbo, manifold etc is on the left which means it has to be all moved to fit. I'm glad its had a good following, and think we'll all be needing another project to follow!! I'll shortly be reviving the "Sitec's 101" thread with a new bumper, rear wheel carriers, power steering, twin snorkels, and a few other things so that'll keep me busy for a bit!

Out standing work, cant wait to see something on you tube of it pulling up a hill
So so so cool! I want this truck
Now sporting a yellow filler cap, here's a pic with the new tilt/canvas.. Not the best of fits, but it'll have to do until the hardtop gets built! The distance from screen front to sides is a little short (25mm), and the rear flap is about 50mm too long.. Luckily/hopefully my rego plate will hold it up on the hooks!! We also had fun with the GoPro tonight, so once a video is assembled you'll see it here soon after!!![]()
