    101 Spare Wheel

    Hi All,

Long term - I am thinking that it would be a good idea to have a second spare wheel..

So my question is - is the wheel for a 101 unique?

And if so - where do I get one from?
And if not - what standard Land Rover wheel can I use?

    Cheers!

    Unique amongst Landrovers.
There are other vehicles with a similar stud pattern.
AJ would be first port of call. Keep your eye on ebay, gumtree and the markets section here.
There is a possibility you can source some from the UK. Spongie was selling some a while back. Buy five (or four) in a lot and pass the others on to those here that want some. I understand Gav may want an extra spare.

Basically the 101 wheel is unique - only landrover 6 stud and about the only other vehicle with the same stud pattern is the early Unimogs. AJ may have some wheels, as well as some on here are likely to have one lying around. One of the parts suppliers in the UK have them for about 90 pounds.

Hi Tom. Yup, as Mick says, Spongie had a some nice orange ones for sale.... When I bought mine, I asked for a second wheel as plan to run two spares on the rear for decent distance trips... AJ had one with a crack in it which I ground out and re welded. I'm slowly collecting 19.5" rims so I can run a decent truck tyre so will have six up for sale within the next year. How's your beast coming on?

wile looking about for tyres for mine I had inquired about the possibility of a set of ROH white rims as mine were borderline suspect on the depth of the rust, supposedly they had just made a set 16"x6.5" to suit a 101 at $90 each, an option for a spare

I suspect whoever told you that got 101 confused with 110. It would be great if I was wrong but I don't think so.

They are peculiar to the 101, although there may be a set heading out there soon.
