    101 Air Filters.

Hi all. Ok, having pounded thru the Flinders in my 101, and blown the air filter out many times, I thought I should invest in a new one... After a quick search on here it threw little up, but so far I've learned this:-

My 101 currently has a Fram GA4968. This is no longer available, but it shows that its been superseded with CA-2715.

The following supposedly cross reference... Fleet guard af1914, Leyland Daf GFE 1097, Baldwin PA 2975, and Donaldson p900163 (no longer available) but poss now a P90-0163.

Any more info and availability welcome, what yours has etc. Cheers.

The Aust Army 101s used Donaldson Duralife P90-0163 filters. This is what is in my 101.

Stickers on the filter indicate they can be carefully washed and reconditioned for further use.

Thanks for your timely post Simon. I was in at our local filter supplier trying to match mine today ( mine just has AC on it and no numbers) they had no match for it based on dimensions but I will try them tomorrow with the numbers you have listed.
    Cheers

Isn't the 101 air filter the same as the Stage 1 V8 and early Range Rovers?

Don't know about the stage 1 but early rangies had 2 small elements 1 at each end of the same housing with the inlet in the middle.

If you want to buy over the counter as far as I know
Fleetguard is the only one advailable P/N AF1914.

Only a small stock is left and expect to pay about $80 dollars a filter.
Fleet guard use to supply to the Australian army.
Your local supplier will have to order the filter in as a special item as it is unlikely they will have one on the shelf waiting for a 101 owner to come along and buy one.
The 101s air filter appears not to match up with anything else on the market or any other Landrover model.

The good news is the 101s air filter works very well and last along time.

Donaldson I think still show listings for a 101 landrover, but appear not advailable anymore.

Sounds like its a good time to go buy a few filters to stash away on the shelf!

What do the UK guys run?
